BANYONG PONGPANICH is the Chairman of the Board at Phatra Securities PLC and the Chairman of the Executive Board of Kiatnakin Bank PLC, both of which are part of Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Group. He has been a crucial part in the development of Thai capital market as a pioneer investment banker who architected many landmark deals, particularly the privatization of state-owned enterprises and IPOs of some of the largest companies in the SET.

Outside his business role, Mr. Banyong serves as a member of the board of directors at Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives Foundation, The Mae Fah Luang Foundation, and Thailand Development Research Institute Foundation. At times, he was also appointed to many of governmental bodies responsible for policy-making and reform.
