ADNAN YOUNIS has spent the majority of his career working with the largest health care investors in the world. In his previous role at Invesco UK, he was the spokesperson for Neil Woodford – one of the most active health care investors globally with $40 billion in total assets under management at the time. In his current role, Adnan is the Asia spokesperson of Wellington’s health care team; a team with over four decades of experience in the sector and one that is currently the largest in the world with $65 billion in dedicated health care fund assets under management. Adnan spent a number of years working in Wellington’s health care team in Boston, USA – the epicenter of the booming international biotechnology industry.

As an investment specialist in Investment Products and Strategies, Adnan works closely with the equity investment teams to help ensure the integrity of the investment approaches in his coverage. This includes meeting with the teams on a regular basis and providing analysis of portfolio positioning, performance, and risk exposures. He contributes to developing new products and client solutions and managing business issues such as capacity, fees, and guidelines. He also participates in meetings with clients, prospects, and consultants to communicate our investment philosophy, strategy, positioning, and performance.

Adnan joined the firm in 2013 and spent two years in London before relocating to Boston in 2015 where he spent a further two years with our global industry research team. He is currently based in our Singapore office. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, he served as an equity product specialist at Invesco Perpetual, UK. Before that, he was a product specialist at UBS Asset Management.

Adnan holds a BSc (Hons) in economics from the University of Bath. Additionally, he holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designations. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Market Technicians Association.
